MOUNIR DARUGAR

FOUNDER

Mounir is a Director of Opal Partners with over 19 years experience in real estate private equity. He set up the business in 2020.

Prior to founding Opal, between 2018 and 2020, Mounir was a Vice-President at Iverson Capital, a Pan-European real estate investment management firm in London, leading the investment team and capital raising, and originating and executing real estate acquisitions in the UK, Germany, Spain and France.

Before Iverson, Mounir was a senior real estate investment professional at Aprirose, a UK real estate investment management firm in London, where he worked on office, logistics and hotel acquisitions in the UK.

Prior to that, between 2013 and 2018, Mounir was an Investment Manager at Virgin Management, Richard Branson's investment office in London, where he worked on growth equity investments in real estate, transport and telecoms, with board observer roles on Virgin portfolio companies.

Before Virgin Management, between 2008 and 2012, Mounir worked as an Investment Associate at Arcapita Bank in London, where he worked on logistics, self-storage and residential acquisitions in Europe.

Mounir started his career in 2007 at Trimont Advisors, the asset management arm of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Private Equity funds. 

Mounir received an MSc in Engineering from Telecom Sud Paris in France.
